Overview
Marshall University is one of the oldest institutions of higher education in West Virginia and its second largest institution of higher education. It is renowned for the sizes of small classes that provide many opportunities for students to interact and collaborate with faculty members. Where students can choose from more than 200 academic fields, including STEM degrees in engineering, computer science and forensic science.

Marshall University is strongly focused on academic research. She is a founding member of the Undergraduate Research Council and is ranked among the top 100 research universities at the Master's level by the Carnegie Institution for the Advancement of Education.

The University of Marshall's Digital Forensic and Information Assurance Program has joined the CyberWatch National Center, a consortium of higher education institutions, schools, corporations and government agencies that collaborate with each other to promote cybersecurity education and strengthen national forces working in this field.

"CyberWatch National Center is pleased to welcome Marshall University as one of its new members," said Barbara Bellon, Associate Director of the Center. "Her expertise in forensic science will enhance the national impact on this important part of cybersecurity." In addition to her membership in the Center, Marshall University now has another way to engage in a national conversation between faculty and companies that focuses on educating those who They will be in positions and positions to protect and defend our country.

Funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF), the Center focuses on building and maintaining a stronger information security workforce. Members have important roles for the growth and strength of the Union.
